JOHN PAPPAJOHN IOWA BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION

Students will need to submit an executive summary, a one-page Business Model Canvas and financial projections to the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center closest to their home institution. Judges selected by the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers will review all submissions. The John Pappajohn Iowa Entrepreneurial Venture Competition contest is intended to encourage and promote entrepreneurial activity and create greater awareness of the resources available to entrepreneurs in Iowa. Eligibility Full or part-time undergraduate or graduate students registered during the fall semester at any Iowa post-secondary educational institution are eligible for the competition. Each of the five regional locations will select no more than three top business plans to compete in the final competition. Plans are judged based on a Content of Plan and b Viability of business idea.

Coaching is available for North Iowa area students at the Pappajohn Center. There are also many other resources for participants to take advantage of, such as our VentureNet Iowa and Iowa Department of Economic Development accelerators and other service organizations which are listed to the right.
